Before, my final design idea of a performance piece I had to experiment with the solvable material to work out the technical issues with my filming project if I were to work with this material. I found that it dissolves quicker with hot water water therefore I tried a series of temperatures to extend how long it takes for the fabric to dissolves. To setup up this idea I had a bowl placed under the hands and someone pouring the water from above in a controlled speed. Another fact that effected the process was the steadiness of the water therefore for my final project I intend to use a watering can with a sprinkler head. I decided to tie the hands because it was inspiration I took from Houdini's great escapes. The idea of recreating this as a new great escape with the ideals of fashion incorporated with magic.
