Magic & Illusion

The concept of my project is an exploration of Magic and Illusion and how I can develop these ideas into fashion. This is an area I have always been intrigued by and especially after watching David Blaine's beyond Magic Special, I really enjoyed his strange and almost grotesque way of performing his illusions and tricks. I like the performance and theatrical element of an illusion along with the precision of performed magic. I hope to create my own illusion into a final outcome which I would develop by attending exhibitions and researching sculptors, installation artists such as Anish Kapoor, fashion designers as well as magicians and illusionists. Ideally, I would like to have a performed element for my exhibition. I hope to using un-common materials such as dissolvable fabric and holographic material. I also wanted to focus on experimenting with optical illusions.
